DCS AOC Tools is a web-based application designed to extract operational information from a DCS World mission file (.miz) and use that information to generate realistic operational documentation, including the Air Tasking Order (ATO), Airspace Control Order (ACO), Special Instructions (SPINS), Communications Plan, and other mission-related documents.
DCS World does not expose all of the information required to generate complete operational documentation. For this reason, the mission must be prepared correctly in the DCS World Mission Editor so that as much relevant information as possible is available when the .miz file is imported into DCS AOC Tools.
This guide explains how to configure and edit a DCS World mission specifically for compatibility with DCS AOC Tools and the Combined Ops ecosystem. It focuses on the mission-editor settings, objects, data, and naming conventions that affect the information extracted from the .miz file and subsequently used by DCS AOC Tools and DCS Mission Planner.
The guide does not cover the other features and workflows available directly within DCS AOC Tools. Those features are documented separately in the relevant sections of the Combined Ops Wiki.
For a quick overview of how ATO, ACO, and SPINS are structured and used within Combined Ops, see the Combined Ops ATO, ACO and SPINS Quick Guide.
